Annual Campaign

The Annual Campaign is at the core of what we do, providing essential, unrestricted dollars for the organizations that provide amazing services to our community and to those in need around the world.

It is the Annual Campaign that addresses the most pressing needs and issues at a moment's notice.

It is the Annual Campaign that feeds the hungry, helps the unemployed, supports families with special needs, and funds Jewish education.

It is the Annual Campaign that has been the glue that has held the Jewish community together for 100 years and will continue to do so for the next 100.

We look back at the amazing feats we've accomplished in the past 100 years thanks to the Federation's Annual Campaign; we look back with admiration and pride at this vibrant, growing Jewish community; we look back at the institutions of Jewish learning that we've build; the emergency funding we've collected in times of need; and the unprecedented growth in Israel, in the former Soviet Union, and in 70 countries around the world.

Today, we celebrate 100 years of difficulties overcome, of building a strong, ever-growing Jewish Pittsburgh.

But during this centennial year, we must also look toward the future. We look ahead at the alarming challenges that lie ahead and the daunting obstacles we must overcome.

Please, on behalf of the thousands of men, women, and children who are in desperate need of a better life, commit to the Centennial Year Annual Campaign and become part of a 100-year-old solution. There is no better time to get involved because, through the Jewish Federation, you can make a world of difference and deliver the gift of hope to those in need.

We are here for the Jewish People...and we will never let them down.

Where Your Dollars Go

There are more destitute Jews in the Former Soviet Union than anywhere else on Earth. We cannot sit here and simply allow this to continue.

2 out of every 3 Jewish children in Pittsburgh are not enrolled in any formal Jewish education. If education is the cornerstone for Jewish values and Jewish continuity, we're simply losing the war.

Two million of our brothers and sisters in Israel live in poverty. Two million. 75% of them forego meals on a daily basis due to financial constraints.

2,500 seniors live alone in Pittsburgh; half of whom live without an adult child in the area.
