The psychotherapists at Squirrel Hill Psychological Services (SHPS) have years of experience providing quality, therapeutic services to children, teens, adults, and seniors in our community. The quality of SHPS is maximized by incorporating satisfaction surveys, outcome measurements and clinical supervision into daily practice.

SHPS therapists work through a number of different modalities, such as individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy. Areas of special expertise include depression, anxiety, play therapy, developmental difficulties, cross-cultural therapy, stepfamily therapy, effective parenting, marital conflict, interfaith relationships, stress management, bereavement, adolescent risky behavior, domestic violence, relationship enhancement, adoption issues, anger management and more.

When appropriate, therapists work collaboratively with family members, physicians, school personnel and other social service providers.

In addition, Squirrel Hill Psychological Services has a certified school psychologist who conducts psychological assessments on children and adults.

Squirrel Hill Psychological Services is a division of Jewish Family & Children's Service (JF&CS), a non-profit, non-sectarian, multi-faceted social service agency founded in 1937.

Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare to provide outpatient counseling services.

Accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc.
