It’s 1942 and the Russians and Germans are fighting near a small seaside town in Southern Russia. Vadik, a street-smart youngster, is angry when his family takes in a Jewish boy whose parents have been deported by the Nazis. He’s ashamed, too, of his father, whose injuries prevent him from fighting with the Russian army. But soon he learns what it means to be a real hero. I SHALL REMEMBER is an emotionally compelling story that brilliantly captures the ability of children to continue on despite the horrors around them. Based on a true story.
