We’ll Help YOU Help the Community

Calling all Jewish organizations that want to make a difference! (And who doesn’t?)

YOU’VE got a great idea and a plan for a one-time program that will help create a vibrant and dynamic Jewish community in Pittsburgh. All you need is the money to make it happen. WE’VE got the money. And we’re eager to give it away.

The Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is making $600,000 available in 2011 via grants typically ranging from $2,000 to $25,000.

The deadline for submitting your application for a grant is March 25, 1pm. Click here to access the online application.

In past years grants have supported such diverse work as efforts by the Jewish Assistance Fund and SOS Pittsburgh to provide financial assistance and case management support to families struggling to cover basic food, clothing, shelter, medical and educational expenses… J'Burgh, a network for Jewish graduate students and young professionals to keep them engaged Jewishly, coordinated through the Edward and Rose Berman Hillel Jewish University Center… efforts to help area synagogues and synagogue schools facilitate inclusion of students with special needs… and the One Happy Camper program, which works through the Centennial Fund for a Jewish Future to provides incentive grants to enable children to build connections to their Judaism and the Jewish community via Jewish camping experiences.

This year… YOU can make the impact.
