Every year, the Pittsburgh Jewish Community participates in a large-scale celebration of Israel's Independence Day. An estimated 2,000 people attended the 2010 Israel Independence Day Celebration held at the Jewish Community Center, in the heart of Squirrel Hill. The event features children's activities, t-shirt give-aways, musical performances, a shopping bazaar, Israeli entertainment, a petting zoo, inflatables and a food court.

The event is free and open to the public.
