Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh Denounces Terror Attacks in Israel and Expresses Solidarity with Victims’ Families

Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh denounces the vile terrorist attacks in Israel on Friday and mourns the victims of these despicable, unprovoked assaults.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies for the victims’ families and pray for the recovery of the wife, other son, and three daughters who were injured in the shooting.Yaakov and Netanel Litman, the father and son killed in Otniel near Hebron in the West Bank, were on their way to a wedding celebration. We also denounce the horrifying and reprehensible congratulatory statement from terrorist organization Hamas, calling these attacks a “heroic resistance operation.” Attacks on innocent people are no such thing; they are terrorism.

At the same time as both France and Israel experienced the horrors of terrorism, we are hopeful that French news organizations and the French people will recognize and condemn the attacks in Israel, and that the Israeli people and news organizations do the same for France. We continue to pray for peace and for peaceful dialogue to resolve conflicts and disagreements everywhere.
